Attorney General’s Suit
On April 14, 2016 the Superior Court of Delaware (Judge E. Scott Bradley) dismissed the States
Attorney General law suit against Hometown America. The reason seems to be a technicality in that
The judge found Hometown does not own us nor rent to us. However; they do own Barclay Farms LLC
which does own Barclay Farms and does rent to us.
I Understand (BFHCA Pres. Larry Dougherty) that the Attorney Generals Office has filed an appeal
to correct this condition. Our lawyer stated that we are going to have to wait another 5 – 6 months
for this appeal to be heard by the courts. We will continue to have to pay the higher rents
until this case is heard. The written decision can be viewed below.
